Snow day

A few weeks ago, we were lucky enough to have some snow, enough for the schools to close for 2 days. Yay. Unfortunately, Izzy wasn't able to play as she was poorly with suspected scarlott fever. But a few week later it snowed again and her and Penny were able to make a snowman and go on the sledge.

January blues and bugs.

We haven't had the best start to 2017. James has already had a week off school due to, what we think was, flu. He has today off again due to a dodgy tummy and Penny is off because we think she is now coming down with flu. Luckily, Izzy (touch wood) has been bug free, but she has had some back teeth through do is a bit grizzly.

Izzy has become quite attached to a blanket teddy thing. Today she wouldn't settle without it. It might become another dolly, who I'm terrified we may lose at some point.

At the beginning of the month we were invited to a wedding of John's step brother. It was beautiful.

Prep is underway for organising James' birthday party. Invites are already to go out. Katie is face painting and I'm incharge of fun and games. What possible could go wrong?
Pic of James in the snow. We had a small flurry one morning. I've never seen James get dressed so quickly when we said he could go out in it.

Snow

Have had a bit better day to day. Spent some time this morning while James was having his morning nap to make some piece of jewellery using my microwave kiln. The other day I order a new glass cutter because the one I have is poor and I end up with lots of waste uneven glass. This is a Toyo make and is super, very easy to use. So I had a nice time playing with that and some glass I ordered. Made 2 pendants. After dinner John and I took James to the park on the swings, not for long as it was cold and started to snow. Than we got ours selves warm through with cake and tea. John wandered off home while James and I looked round the shops. James fell asleep in Boots. I only bought a new plastic mat to go under James high chair to catch all his food he throws.

SNOW

SNOW!

I hate the snow, but feel that I ought to venture out in it to let James experience it wet and cold delights. John has already cleared 2 paths and been to Asda and it only 11:30. Me however have managed to get myself dressed and that is about it.

Right I had better hunt out the wellies and James waterproof.

PS. Rang Grandma this morning and while I was on the phone James sneaked into the kitchen cupboard and pour out all the dried pasta and was attempting to eat it. I felt bad taking him away from it because he was enjoying himself and seemed very pleased at his accomplishment. He even help clear away.

Snow.

Woke up this morning and it was snowing. It has almost gone now but there was about 2inches. Which isn't much really considering what some places get.

Hoping that when we walk up snowdon this time there will be snow on the top. Last time I did it with Col, it was June. We prepared to walk up and expected it to be cold and snowy. So we piled on the layers and waterproofs. In was the hottest day in June and we both got sunburnt. We were so red that someone near the top let us use their sun cream because there felt sorry for us. I have never been in such pain that night.

We have been making a snowman today. John's is the bigger one and main is the smaller. Mine is much better. John's fell down three times. Just goes to show size doesn't matter.

Christmas is coming.

Well Christmas is going and I am back on the internet looking for ideas what to get people. It doesn't seem that long since I was doing the same thing last year.

So any of my family who read this I want ideas please. if you don't give me a list you will end up with stuff you don't want. I think I will buy you something completly horrid and you will have to pretend you like it and everytime I come round to your house I will meantion it so you will have to feel obliged to have it out on sort all the time. I'm thing something like a pink flock virgin Mary or a stuffed crow, or a huge plastic carrige clock made out of shells which lights up.

So please ideas.

Dear Santa

Thank you for last years presents. This year I would like a car.

Your best friend Sam.

Snow

Hi
Happy Birthday Hol.

I'm unemployed today. We working yesterday in a local school. The morning was lovely but I don't know what they gave them for lunch because they turn into screaming monsters in the afternoon. All I wanted to do we to hid in the cupboard or better still put all the children into the cupboard and let them fight it out.

It is snowing here. Don't really like to snow, sure it is pretty and makes even the crappest council estate like good. But I hate driving, walking and just generally being outside in the snow. But sure enough even year it snows I have to make the obligertre snowman and take a walk in it and take some lovely snowy pictures. I think if I resigned myself to sitting inside with a coffee (Not hot chocolate because that means your old) and watching the snow (for about 2 minutes because lets face it watching falling snow is about as most fun as cleaning the goldfish tank. It is some thing that needs to be done.) it means I'm getting old and cranky because only the young and crazy enjoy getting so wet and cold and you can't feel your arms and legs.

Right I'm going to take the rubbish out. This way at least I can say I've been outside in the snow and took a walk.

HAVE A FANTATIC AND AMAZING CHRISTMAS

Hi. MERRY CHRISTMAS

This is will probably be my last blog until after Christmas, so I hope you all have a fantastic time.
I going to see family in Grimsby this year. Really looking forward to it.

I have quite a few things still left to do. I have to finish off a Christmas cake for my gramdma. It still needs icing. I need to finish off my chocolates, as I got bored of doing them so just bunged them in the freezer. I also have some wrapping to do. John is also coming down today at some point.
Tomorrow Col and her new family are coming for dinner then we are all going to the Christingale at the church.

Christmas eve we are allowed a chocolate off the tree, thought I think someone has been poaching them before hand, and a sherry. Then it is time for bed until Father Christmas arrives.

Job at last.

This photo was taken at a nearby church last year.

Hi.
This photo was taken at a nearby church last year.
It has been a day for good news today. First I passed my MOT. Then I get a phone call asking me if I wanted to do supply in a school tomorrow then I make a carrot cake for the first time and it tastes lovely. Fantastic day.

I'm a bit nervous about tomorrow. I'm teaching year two , hopefully they won't be doing anything to tasking.

Going to see the new James Bond film tomorrow night with John. I have stayed away from all the hype so if won't spoil it for me. I've read the book but often the books and the films have nothing in common.

We let you know what I think.
